From service to the skies over DFW
Rodney Sparks is a U.S. Army veteran and FAA Part 107–certified remote pilot who built Overwatch Drone Services LLC with one mission in mind: deliver precise, reliable, and professional aerial data to roofing companies, surveyors, builders, and property owners across North Texas.
Raised in Vallejo, California and shaped by years of military service, Rodney brings discipline, accuracy, and mission-focused execution to every flight.
After leaving the Army, he saw how many roofing and surveying teams struggled with slow inspections, unsafe climbs, and outdated documentation. He launched Overwatch to solve that problem — using advanced drone technology to capture high-resolution roof imagery, detailed site documentation, and accurate mapping data faster, safer, and more consistently than traditional methods.
What sets Rodney apart is simple: military-grade precision, real-world experience, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. Every mission includes careful planning, airspace compliance, and a safety-first approach backed by FAA Part 107 certification.
Clients trust Overwatch because Rodney delivers clean data, fast turnaround, and the professionalism you expect from a veteran-owned business.
Four values, every flight
Precision
Framed and flown deliberately. Every shot has a purpose and a place in the final set.
Integrity
Straight answers on what we can do, what it costs, and when it will be done.
Safety
Part 107 compliant, fully insured, and flown with respect for people, property, and airspace.
Reliability
If we commit to a flight window, we show up and deliver. That's the standard.
Professional-grade, mission-ready
The right tool for the job — maintained, inspected, and flown with purpose.
DJI Mini 5 Pro
Our primary imaging platform. Sharp high-resolution stills and smooth stabilized video in a compact airframe — ideal for roof inspections, real estate listings, and site documentation where a low-profile, precise flight matters.
Insta360
Our 360° capture rig. Immersive views that let a viewer look around a property, site, or space from the air — a strong addition to listings, marketing footage, and virtual walkthroughs.
